Zumba Workout DVDs

Attending a Zumba Workout has become the new exercise fad, and I'm hoping that the popularity of Zumba workouts lasts a long time. Zumba workouts are a fun way to sneak in your cardio without having to do the usual boring treadmill routine. A Zumba workout mixes cardio and latin dance to of create an aerobics class that feels more like a latin dance club. Even though the latin moves of Zumba workouts are hot, they aren't very difficult. The steps taught can be learned quickly and they are repeated frequently throughout the Zumba workout.

If you are new to Zumba workouts and wish to obtain extra practice outside of class or learn a few moves before your first zumba workout class, you may want to consider purchasing a Zumba DVD. Like other fitness DVDs, Zumba DVDs allow you to learn and practice the moves in the comfort of your own home. A Zumba DVD is also a great option for those who wish to try a zumba workout without having make the expensive payments for a weekly class.

The one problem with Zumba DVDs is that there are virtually no options to choose from. As far as I can tell, all zumba dvds are marketed and sold by the company Zumba Fitness. Zumba fitness has a few Zumba DVD sets available for those interested in practicing Zumba workouts at home. The Zumba DVD sets feature various workouts for beginners and the more advanced. The Zumba workouts are typically taught by Beto Perez and Giselle Roque. I personally prefer Giselle as a zumba workout instructor-her movements are easier to follow and she offers better explanations during her Zumba DVDs. Some people like Beto better because of the "eye candy" but I didn't really think he was all that attractive..but personal preference, I suppose.

All the Zumba DVDs taught by Beto and Giselle are made up of low impact aerobics mixed with moves commonly found in latin dance styles such as meringue, reggae-Latin, belly dance, samba, tango, flamenco and others. The music is also a fusion of Latin music and more traditional aerobics music, set, of course, to a techno beat. The music also happens to be bilingual, which I think is awesome.

The other aspect of the zumba DVDs that I love is the inclusion of interval training methods in the Zumba workouts. This allows you to bring your heart rate way up for a short period of time and then return it to normal, which will further challenge you during the Zumba workout. I think the interval training aspect of the Zumba workouts is what makes them especially helpful for people who are trying to lose weight.

All in all, Zumba DVDs are a great option for anyone looking to get a challenging workout at home and learn some hot dance moves at the same time!
